For his seminal work on graphene and for his important contributions to the optical investigations of novel superconductors Dr. Alexey Kuzmenko was awarded the Ludwig-Genzel Prize during the International Conference on Low Energy Electrodynamics in Solids (LEES) in Napa, California.
Every two years, this prize is given to a young scientist for exceptional contributions to the field of condensed-matter spectroscopy. Related to Ludwig Genzel’s scientific work the focus is on the far-infrared spectral range.
