Philippe Jacquod nominated professor

Welcome to Philippe Jacquod who has been nominated professor at the DQMP.

Philippe Jacquod is a physicist from the ETHZ. He obtained a PhD in natural sciences from the University of Neuchâtel. He made post-doctoral researches at Yale and Leiden Universities and was a full professor in theoretical physics at the University of Arizona, in Tucson.

Since 2013, he is professor in Energy and Environmental Engineering at the HES-SO Valais where, with his group of research, he focuses his work on energy systems, particularly on electric power networks.

At the University of Geneva, he will pursue his investigations of electric power networks and extend them to other complex, coupled dynamical systems.
