We are glad to announce the conference The Magic of Disorder and Correlations, from 17th to 19th January 2024, to be held at the University of Geneva.
Disorder and correlations are fundamental in nanoscale physics, impacting quantum effects, confinement, energy landscapes, transport behaviors, emergent properties, and device variability. Understanding and manipulating them is crucial for advancing nanoscale systems and their applications. This conference aims to facilitate collaborations and discussions among experts from various fields, fostering cross-disciplinary developments and unveiling the nature of these phenomena in complex systems. This scientific event will also be the occasion to celebrate the 60th birthday of Thierry Giamarchi and spotlight three main domains : Interacting Quantum Systems, Ultra Cold Atoms, and Disordered Elastic and Glassy Systems.
The event will span 2.5 days in Geneva, with 20 invited speakers, a poster session, a conference dinner, and time for free discussions over coffee breaks and lunch.
While registration is free of charge, it is mandatory.
Registration by November 1st : https://magic.dqmp.ch/
As there are limited spaces available, acceptance of registrations will be announced mid-November.
